Don’t you just hate it when you can’t scroll through your old, classic tweets? Or tweet something only to cringe at the typos and grammatical errors you missed? Or what about painfully reading what seems like a novel from other Twitter users? Well, guess what, your prayers have been heard. Twitter officially launches a new subscription service with all these features and more. Enter Twitter Blue.

On June 3rd, 2021, Twitter gave its users a treat they’ve been longing for. Twitter Blue is the platform’s new subscription service made available to Canada and Australia for testing and feedback for now.

Although the free Twitter platform remains the same, the new service only means users will get a feel for using social media with all the ease and convenience. With various features that make your Twitter experience personalized and efficient, users should get excited about logging into Twitter from now on.

Bookmark Folders to segregate tweets

Twitter users don’t have to cry over spilled milk when it comes to old tweets. They can access it anytime quickly and conveniently by using the Bookmark feature. We all know how classic tweets can make you reminisce of the amount of attention it got.

Or if you had viral tweets in the past and would like to browse through the comments section just for funsies, then classify them into various folders. Funny, angry, rant, insulting, or cringy tweets, you name it. You’ll have a separate folder for each type of old tweet, so you can browse through it with pride.

Undo button for mistakes

Don’t you just hate it when you tweet something and accidentally post typos or grammatical errors for all the world to see? Well, now you don’t have to embarrass yourself because the new Twitter Blue offers an Undo button.

What this does is give you 30 seconds to preview your tweet on the platform. You can then check if everything is up to par. Check for spelling errors, grammar, or the entire tweet itself. If you’re not satisfied, you can click the Undo button on the lower right side of the tweet. Re-do the tweet over and over again until it’s perfect.

This feature is a smart addition for users who are meticulous about committing a faux pax, especially on a platform with over 300 million users! Many Twitter users have prayed and hoped for this feature, and voila, Twitter didn’t disappoint. I guess this guy’s tweet got answered:

Reader mode for long threads

Another pet peeve on Twitter is when you’re reading long content or threads. Sometimes, it’s such a pain scrolling through lines and lines of text. With the new Twitter Blue Reader Mode feature, you can now browse through long threads quickly and easily.

The Reader Mode feature presents long text in a news-style format so users can easily digest chunks of information.

Other fun, useful features

That’s not all Twitter users are getting from the new Twitter Blue service. The platform also boasts of cool features such as customizable icons and colored themes for your mobile apps.

Plus, the best Twitter Blue feature that users will undeniably be pleased about is the dedicated customer support. Anyone who has been on social media for a long time knows how difficult it is to talk to a customer representative who can cater to your concerns.

And lo and behold, Twitter Blue assures reliable customer support for all your concerns, making your Twitter experience seamless.

Twitter Blue pricing

Twitter users don’t have to pay for this new service if they’re happy with the current free platform. However, for users who want all these fun perks, a meager fee monthly won’t hurt.

Canadian Twitter users will shell out $3.49 CAD. On the other hand, Australian Twitter users will pay $4.49 AUD.

For now, Twitter is still testing the new service, but promises there are more cool and fun features soon!
