Dubai Announces Swarovski Creative Center Launch

With the goal of encouraging innovation and inspiration, the first ever Swarovski Creative Center opens this fall within the Dubai Design District. The Creative Center is acting as a nonprofit center for local design talents that includes fashion, art and interiors. The brand is enacting a promotion in creative influence with the Swarovski Creative Center launch being their first project. 

The modernized bright space is at a nearly 2,000 square feet or 185 square meters. Being situated at the Mezzanine level in building 7, the space is settled to host creative workshops, panels, exhibitions, and events. In creative choices across fashion, jewelry, art, and film, everyone is encouraged to work on design. The workshops and talks are intended for design students and professionals, the overall center is being used to provide designers with an opportunity to demonstrate their talents.

In offering a resource hub for the Middle East to inspire creativity within the community, the Swarovski Creative Center launch has an exhibit that features images, videos and products to allow visitors to explore Swarovski’s heritage.

Many industries like Swarovski are currently moving to Dubai. Dubai have already earned its regional MENA crown for some business sectors, but it is now uniting their fashion work into the playing field as well. “Things are definitely improving as many people in the business have become aware of [Dubai’s] shortcomings and are pushing hard to raise the bar,” says Jamila Halfichi, the fashion editor of Asharq Al-Awsat, a pan-Arab newspaper distributed across the Middle East.

The Member of the Swarovski Executive Board, Nadja Swarovski shared, “It is a pleasure to reaffirm our commitment to innovative design thinking and education with the new Swarovski Creative Center in Dubai. We look forward to seeing it become an inspirational hub for design in the region, helping to enable creative talent to develop and thrive.”

Delivering the responsibility on positive social impact, Swarovski will continue to foster its creative network by sharing available resources to designers from all around with their Swarovski Creative Center launch. In hopes of developing a passionate design community.

The Swarovski Creative Center opened in August 2017 and it includes an exhibit honoring Atelier Swarovski’s 10th anniversary. Swarovski has been taking a step closer to pursuing community development. “We are delighted to publish our fourth sustainability report, presenting our future vision, ensuring our increased role of responsibility and impact in society and in business” commented Nadja Swarovski, the member of the Swarovski Executive Board. Swarovski passionately works for creative development. The brand tours new ways to connect talents with mentors to enhance their professional development. With the Swarovski Creative Center in the Dubai Design District, the society is enabled to express their work openly with their community.
