The Most Creative Staging for Your Elf on the Shelf

on

It can be a tough gig for your Elf on the Shelf. Every night, he takes off and makes the tireless commute back to the North Pole. He gives Santa a detailed report of everything your kids have been up to and makes his recommendation for the Naughty or Nice List. Then he has to make it all the way back down to your home before your kids wake up. (There are never Ubers in the area when you need one.) Elves can use all the help they can get from parents. The least you can do is show them the best places to hide in your household.

Naturally, your kids will be on the hunt to find their Christmas time Big Brother. You can give them an added burst of joy and laughter by being creative. Here are some of the best places for your Elf on the Shelf to keep a lookout in your home.

He’s Making a List

Sure, your elf needs a good place to hide, but his most important job is to help Santa with his list. Early in the Christmas season, you can remind your kids what the Elf on the Shelf is there for in the first place. Set him up with his Naughty and Nice List so your kids know to be on their best behavior.

Caught Red Handed

Maybe your elf is a little unconventional. Maybe your elf wants to make sure your kids are well behaved by showing them what NOT to do. Have some fun with your elf taking tree decorations into his own mischievous little hands.

Elf in Quarantine

Uh oh! Your elf has been travelling in and out of the country every night. It might be a good idea for your elf to self-isolate. Afterall, he can’t get Santa sick leading up to the most important night of the year.

Call in the Military!

It’s a magical time of year for young boys and girls. When the Elf on the Shelf is in town, even other toys can come to life. Have fun enlisting the entire toy box in your displays. (Fun Fact: when you cross state lines going 800mph on a reindeer, they call in the National Guard.)

Playing with the Cat

Why should your Elf on the Shelf only keep an eye on your kids and not look after the most troublesome one in the household? Cats are always getting themselves into trouble. Show your kids that the Naughty List doesn’t discriminate.

Elf-Chat

Your kids have been so good this year and your Elf on the Shelf is feeling super lucky to be watching over them. Give your elf the chance to brag to his friends about how good he’s got it at your house.

Namaste on the Shelf

December is the busiest time of year for elves and it can be very stressful. Your elf needs to make sure he is in the right state of mind and ready to take on the day. A little yoga can help keep your elf at peace and stay limber for all his sneaking around.

Your kids have been good all year (maybe), but now it’s crunch time. These clever spots for you Elf on the Shelf are sure to keep the little ones on their toes!
