Reporter Hit By A Car Is Obviously From Philly

When you hear the news “reporter hit by a car,” you think, “ha, that’s funny.” Or “ooh hope they’re okay” if you’re, like, a good person. When you learn that the reporter hit by a car went right back to reporting like a champ you think “oh, good for them.” When you then learn that the reporter is from Philly you can’t help but think, “oh, that makes sense.”

Tori Yorgey (who has a fabulous name) is a reporter for NBC affiliate WSAZ of West Virginia. She was reporting on a water main break when a car came out of nowhere and struck her in the back.

Oh my god. I just got hit by a car, but I’m okay!”

Yorgey said, using noticeably fewer expletives than most would.

You know, that’s live TV for ya!

The cheery, forgiving tone is the one thing about Yorgey that is not very Philly.

It’s all good! I actually got hit by a car in college too just like that.

This is the second time? Girl, get out of the street!

I am so glad I’m okay.”

Are you? You’re being way nicer about this than most Philadelphians.

Yorgey, the toughest nice person ever, fixed her camera and lights and went right back to reporting.

Atta girl.

What About The Driver?

The driver is heard profusely apologizing in the video. It’s not known why the woman struck Yorgey. It’s also not known how the driver didn’t see the bright lights illuminating Yorgey.

Ma’am, you’re so sweet and you are okay.”

Yorgey is being way too nice about this. It’s both endearing and unsettling.

Thankfully, Yorgey was checked out at the hospital and is fine. In other good news, Yorgey is leaving West Virginia and instead will return home to Pennsylvania to WTAE as a new reporter.

Welcome home, Tori Yorgey. Stay out of the street.
