The funding, led by B Capital Group, is just one of the two most significant funding in the last two years. In November 2020, the company also raised around $2.15m, which was led by Nexus Venture Partners.

Nektar’s total seed capital amounts to $8.1 million in the last two years. This is the largest round of funding for an Asia-based SaaS company. Angel investors have participated. Names include:

  • Founder of OYO Hotels Ritesh Agarwal
  • President of Tyler Technologies Kevin Merritt

  • SentinelOne’s VP Evan Davidson
  • Ekata VP, and APAC GM Tom Donlea
  • Managing Partner and President of Asia Pacific Amit Midha

Moreover, Nexus Venture Partners and 3One4 Capital also participated.

What is Nektar?

Founded in 2020, Nektar.ai is headquartered in Singapore and funded by investors mentioned above. Nektar’s two founders are Abhijeet Vijayvergiya and Aravind Ravi Sulekha. Vijayvergiya’s experience in setting up and increasing B2B sales engines helps Nektar to support companies that struggle with working remotely. In addition, Ravi Sulekha is deemed a technical leader who has built and scaled products.

Nektar.ai aims to bring together the effectiveness and efficiency of collaboration, automation, and analytics. It’s to make all salespeople enjoy their jobs at 100 percent productivity. The company wants to help sales teams focus on their sales pipeline and bolster their daily, weekly, or monthly quotas.

Nektar knew how challenging it is to work with remote teams. Most sales teams and other departments rely heavily on tools. Tools like Trello, Zoom, Skype, Google, and other messaging and collaboration platforms. That said, they devised a platform that can help sales teams decrease the tedious time spent on manual data entry. Due to this, the company provides analytics and channels that increase their productivity as well as revenue.

What Do They Do?

This B2B sales productivity company helps salespeople work with crucial information across several channels. Namely tools such as Slack, Skype, CRM tools, social media pages, Zoom, emails, calendars, and more.

Nektar integrates with various applications and software and brings data to the most efficient tools, such as Slack. The company released a web console for managers with a useful feature called Capture Bot. This is a system that is run by artificial intelligence. And extracts vital information that salespeople garner in their client interactions.

Mostly, these data are typically stored and forgotten in email inboxes or calendars. However, Nektar.ai makes it easier for salespeople to store these data in one system. One of the founders claimed that one client saved $50,000. It’s all done by using their product and organizing existing contacts instead of getting a third-party system.

Gabe Greenbaum, B Capital Group general partner, said in an interview, “Nektar.ai’s solutions provide great value to distributed revenue teams, which is even more important as enterprises conduct further business across global markets. B Capital is always eager to work with experienced and knowledgeable founders, and we’re confident that Abhijeet, Aravind and the Nektar.ai team will continue their strong momentum on the path to becoming the industry-leading tool for enterprise sales productivity.”
