How You Can Help Victims Of The Fairmount Fire

Wednesday morning, Philadelphia and the nation awoke to the tragic news that a fire had killed 12 people – 8 of them children. The Fairmount fire broke out sometime before 6:30 am that morning. 

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Firefighters said that there were no working smoke detectors in the home. The Philadelphia Housing Authority said that there were working smoke detectors during an inspection spring 2021. 

The Fairmount fire is the single deadliest fire in Philadelphia in decades. Here are ways you can help the victims:
